For as long as I can remember my parents have been in the fish and chip trade with shops in Norton and Richmond. Most recently, we ran the Fox Hall Inn on the A66 for 3 years where we specialised in fish and chips. Whilst there we won the Fish and Chip Quality award twice and built up a great customer base with both locals and tourists.
Within our first 6 months of opening Katie's, we have managed to achieve the Fish and Chip Quality award and I was lucky enough to win Young Entrepreneur of Year at the Teesdale Business awards. We are working hard to maintain the high standards we have set in our first year of business!
We've always found that the traditional way of cooking fish and chips, is by far the best. We cook in double refined best beef dripping and our chips are made fresh, daily. Our fish is cut by us every morning ready to be fried for you that afternoon. We use only the best Icelandic cod and line caught haddock, fished from sustainable waters. The freshness of our product is key and the quality is incredibly important to myself and the team who work hard to deliver the best possible experience to you when visiting us.
